Liminal, in-between, in flux, suspension. We often find ourselves in the spaces between things: between events, between relationships, between jobs, between seasons. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel as though there is a transition happening in this place. It feels as thought everything has been suspended, time has stopped. When this happens, we are often being nudged to look at life from a new perspective before charging forward. Turn things on their head. Imagine yourself diving into a clear pool, swimming to the bottom, and then gazing upward. You can’t (and wont’t!) stay here forever, but the liminal spaces of our lives have wisdom to offer if we are willing to come to stillness and look at things from a different perspective.
