Nooks and crannies, crevice in a rock, shelter of a bramble. The world is full of the small and secret places in which to take refuge. Whole lives are built there - a spider keeping watch from a crack in a rock, a rabbit nesting in a bramble, Baba Yaga still as a stone, blending into the boulders, keeping watch on her forest.
